It certainly wasn’t the most memorable year for the Osoyoos Coyotes, who wrapped up the 2024/2025 Season with Saturday night’s 4-1 home ice setback to the Kamloops Storm.
The only offence was Matthew Lowry’s powerplay goal, just over eight minutes into the opening period. That actually tied the game 1-1.
Kamloops tallied again before the period was out, scoring twice more in the second.
Jaiden Jakubowski suffered the loss in net. Final shots were 40-39 for the Storm, bolstered by a 15-3 third period margin, albeit a scoreless final 20 minutes.
The Coyotes dropped their last five outings, managing only 15 wins in 44 games, missing the playoffs for just the second time in the franchise’s 15 year history.
There’s definitely a lot to evaluate moving forward.
