Too many trips to the penalty box cost Osoyoos dearly on Saturday night in dropping an 8-2 pre-season road decision to Grand Forks.
The Border Bruins led 6-0, before Kyle Cyr scored during a five-on-three powerplay in the final minute of the second period.
Garrett Kurtz rifled home a shot from the blueline in the last minute of the game, also on the man advantage, for the Coyotes second goal.
Mayles Hayne assisted on both markers.
Colton Konrad suffered the goaltending defeat, facing 49 shots, with Osoyoos counting 29.
The Coyotes have a chance to avenge the embarrassing loss when the two team meet up again back at the Sun Bowl, Wednesday night (Sept. 11th), beginning at 7:00.
