It was a respectable result against the KIJHL’s top point producing team as the Osoyoos Coyotes bowed 4-2 to the Border Bruins on Friday night in Grand Forks.
There’s no denying the Border Bruins dominated throughout and that it could have been much worse without the solid play of Jaiden Jakubowski. The Osoyoos netminder stopped 45 of the 49 shots sent his way.
The Coyotes were only credited with 12 shots-on-goal the entire game, which for some reason, was kept at a lower than accurate total by those inside the building.
Spencer Fleck and Mason Rudolph scored for Osoyoos, who trailed 2-1 after the first period and 3-1 entering the third. Rudolph also added an assist.
The Sicamous Eagles visit the Sun Bowl Arena, Saturday night at 7:00, when the Coyotes will be looking to snap a five game losing streak.
