Osoyoos had little trouble defeating North Okanagan 8-2, Wednesday night at the Sun Bowl.
Alex Ochitwa and Jack Henderson led the offence with two goals apiece. Crae Dawson, Ethan O’Rourke, Ethan McKinley and Nathan Hannon added singles. Ochitwa and McKinley, as well as Kaleb Kremp, each contributed two assists to the onslaught.
The Coyotes doubled the Knights in shots, 40-20. Kenneth Marquart earned the decision in net.
This one was never in doubt as Osoyoos held intermission leads of 4-0 and 5-1.
In reaching the 30 win plateau, the Coyotes need just two more victories over their four remaining regular season games to clinch first place overall and assure themselves home ice advantage throughout the KIJHL playoffs.
Osoyoos will be looking to avenge one of its two regulation time losses when the Sicamous Eagles come to town on Saturday night for a 7:35 start.
