The Osoyoos Coyotes wrapped up the pre-season on Saturday night in Summerland, with a 4-2 doubling of the Steam.
It took just 33-seconds for the Coyotes to get on the board, thanks to a James Poole powerplay marker. Scott Dyck made it 2-0 before the period was out, again on the man advantage.
The teams traded goals in both the second and third period, with Nelson Webster and Jarrod Gale scoring for Osoyoos. Gale also added a pair of assists.
Justin Goetz and Tayton Stewart split the goaltending duties, each beaten just once. The Coyotes outshot the Steam 31-21.
It was a hard-working effort that paid off as a young Osoyoos squad looks to be improving every game.
The Coyotes open the regular season with a three-game road trip to Kimberley, Fernie and Golden next weekend, September to 22nd to 24th respectively.
