Coyotes Score Early in Knocking Off the Steam!

The Osoyoos Coyotes scored three goals in the first 5:40, which proved to be all they needed for a 4-2 doubling of Summerland, Sunday night at the Sun Bowl.

Sean Quinn got things started with his first junior hockey goal, just 46-seconds after the opening face-off.  Zach Leslie and Coletyn Boyarski on the powerplay weren’t far behind, tallying markers of their own.

Jack Henderson added one more goal in the second period.

Carter Yarish and Ethan McKinley had three assists apiece, while Henderson chipped in with a pair of helpers.

Kenny Gerow picked up the win in net, stopping 25 of 27 shots.  The Coyotes outshot the Steam 45-27, distributing their 45 shots evenly over three periods at exactly 15 per period.  That included a 15-3 margin in the final 20 minutes.

Osoyoos next hosts Kimberley on Friday night (October 28th) at 7:35.
