The Heat blanked the Coyotes 4-0, Friday night in Chase.
The game got away from Osoyoos early in the second period when the Heat scored three goals in just under five minutes.
Sam Koester was pulled after allowing all four Chase markers on 15 shots. Ryder Hunt was perfect in relief, stopping the 15 pucks he was forced to handle.
The Coyotes actually outshot the Heat 33-30. However, very few of those were overly threatening opportunities.
Despite the recent struggles, Osoyoos is still mathematically alive when it comes to a post-season berth. Mind you, the Coyotes have again fallen behind Sicamous by one point in the Bill Ohlhausen Division. They must finish ahead of both the Eagles and 100 Mile House in order to grab a crossover playoff spot. Osoyoos remains five points out with seven games remaining. The Wranglers only have four games left in their regular season.
