The Osoyoos Coyotes had little to offer in being shutout 8-0 by the Eagles, Friday night at Sicamous.
There really isn’t much to say about this one, other than Osoyoos looked like a team that’s ready to call it a season.
The Eagles led 1-0 after the first and 4-0 following 40 minutes, before blowing the game wide open in the third.
Former Coyote Dexter Materi had two goals and an assist for Sicamous, including what turned out to be the winner.
Things started to get out of hand in the final period, often typical when taking into account such a lopsided score. The teams combined for 158 penalty minutes, 130 of which stemmed from 10 minute misconducts.
Shots were 45-30 in favour of the Eagles, keyed by a 25-8 third period margin.
Jaiden Jakubowski took the loss in net, not receiving much support for his part.
The season wraps up on Saturday (Feb. 22) at 7:00 at the Sun Bowl Arena, Fan Appreciation Night, against the Kamloops Storm, featuring Game Sponsor the Owl Pub.
