If the Osoyoos Coyotes assembled a complete 60 minutes instead of random commanding periods, they would likely have higher numbers in the win column.
The Coyotes outplayed Revelstoke in the third period, but by then it was far too late. The Grizzlies already had a 5-0 lead through two periods, eventually cruising to a 7-1 victory on Friday night in Revelstoke.
Mason Rudolph’s early third period breakaway provided the only offence on this night.
The first period saw Osoyoos hold a man advantage for over nine minutes, however an anemic looking powerplay came up empty handed each time. In light of such, the Grizzlies were ahead 2-0 after one.
Brendan Gee struggled in his Coyotes debut, allowing five goals on 28 shots. He was pulled roughly midway through the second period in favour of Hunter Arntsen following Revelstoke’s fifth goal.
Final shots were 44-27 for the Grizzlies, who continue their long-standing dominance of Osoyoos. The Coyotes haven’t beaten Revelstoke since October 16th, 2021, resulting in a current seven game losing streak.
The 7-9-1-0 Osoyoos Coyotes hope to turn things around at the Sun Bowl Arena as they kick off a four game home stand beginning tomorrow night (Sat., Nov. 16th) at 7:00 against the Creston Valley Thunder Cats.
