The Revelstoke Grizzlies scored the game’s last five goals enroute to a 6-1 victory over the Osoyoos Coyotes, Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
Following a scoreless opening period, the Grizzlies took a 1-0 lead less than eight minutes into the second.
However, a Dexter Materi marker drew Osoyoos even at 1-1 under four and-a-half minutes later.
After that, the roof caved in.
Revelstoke tallied twice more in the middle period and three more times over the final 20 minutes in cruising to the win.
It could have been a lot worse without the usual solid netminding of Hunter Arntsen, who despite allowing six, stopped 42 shots. The second period was the most lopsided with the Coyotes outshot 25-2, eventually 48-23 overall.
Osoyoos definitely seems to struggle more at home, falling to 2-4-0-0 on Sun Bowl ice.
At 6-7-0-1, the Coyotes remain in fifth place of the Bill Ohlhausen Division, one point ahead of the Kelowna Chiefs as they get ready for a two game road trip next weekend. Friday night (Nov. 8th) in Castlegar and Saturday night (Nov. 9th) at Beaver Valley.
