The Storm tied things 1-1 with a man advantage goal of its own, late in the middle period.
A scoreless third resulted in five minutes of three-on-three overtime, during which Kamloops netted the game winner.
The Coyotes were outshot for the second straight night, this time by a count of 35-27, with Rhett Harkot incurring the loss in net.
