The Princeton Posse scored four second period goals in just under 11-minutes in cruising to a 6-2 victory, Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena, snapping the Coyotes four game winning streak.
A Rylan Konecsni shorthanded tally late in the second period and Logan Messer marker with time winding down in the third was the only offence Osoyoos could muster.
After a scoreless opening period, Princeton took a comfortable 4-1 lead into the final 20-minutes.
The Coyotes had a golden opportunity early in period three, given a seven minute powerplay and two man advantage for just over a minute. However, they failed to draw any closer.
The Posse held a 34-31 edge in shots, with Hunter Arntsen suffering his first loss on the heels of three straight wins.
Except for Princeton, all Bill Ohlhausen Division teams were beaten on Saturday night. Osoyoos remains in third place, just three points back of second place Kelowna, while having played five fewer games than the Chiefs.
The Coyotes are right back at it on Sunday night (December 10th) as the Castlegar Rebels come to town for a 6:00 o’clock face-off.
