A number of injuries and a suspension only allowed the Osoyoos Coyotes to dress 13 skaters for their game on Tuesday night in Princeton. That had disaster written all over it, however despite the depleted numbers, the Coyotes kept things close, losing 4-0 to the league-leading Posse.
Princeton led 1-0 after the first and took a 3-0 advantage into the third period.
Osoyoos had its fair share of chances, managing 27 shots. At the other end, Hunter Arntsen stopped 44 of the 48 pucks the Posse put on net.
The Coyotes remain in fourth place in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with 22 points, four points up on Summerland for the final playoff spot.
A six game road swing continues this coming weekend at Creston Valley on Friday night (Jan. 12th) and Columbia Valley, Saturday night (Jan. 13th).
It’ll be interesting to see if Osoyoos is able to add any players to a fatigued roster, prior to tomorrow’s (Jan. 10th) trade deadline.
