Credit the Osoyoos Coyotes for skating with the Princeton Posse from beginning to end, Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
The Coyotes outshot Princeton 32-19 and controlled their fair share of the play. Unfortunately, they ended up on the short end of a 3-1 decision.
Josh Hanson scored on Osoyoos’s first shot of the game, 2:17 into the contest. However, the Coyotes failed to connect the remainder of the night.
It was really only a one goal setback as the Posse’s third tally came from an empty netter in the final minute.
Princeton’s two previous markers were just 2:28 apart, late in the opening period.
Ryder Hunt suffered the loss in goal.
A pair of weekend defeats makes the Osoyoos Coyotes playoff hopes a bit more improbable, despite still being mathematically possible, with six games left in the regular season.
Next Friday night (Feb. 13th), Osoyoos visits the Posse, prior to Saturday’s (Feb. 14th) 7:00 pm hosting of Kelowna, featuring Game Sponsor Save on Foods.
