A Hard-Fought Effort Falls Short!

It’s an early season trend the Osoyoos Coyotes soon hope to shake. One bad period that seems to cost them the hockey game.

The Princeton Posse tallied three times in the second, including twice in just 58 seconds to snap a scoreless tie, enroute to a 4-1 win on Wednesday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.

The Coyotes pretty much dominated the opening 20 minutes, outshooting the Posse 15-7. However, they weren’t able to translate that into any offensive productivity.

Not until Russell Weatherhead notched his team leading fourth goal on the powerplay with less than seven minutes remaining was Osoyoos able to get on the board. Princeton added an empty netter in the dying seconds.

Jaiden Jakubowski was tagged with the loss. Final shots were 31-29 favouring the Coyotes.

Osoyoos looks to snap a three-game losing skid Saturday night (Oct. 4th) when the Spokane Braves come to town. Face-off time is 7:00 o’clock, featuring Game Sponsor Boostoyoos Yoga & Wellness Bar.
