It may sound a bit repetitive, but ‘stellar’ remains the best word to describe the play of Osoyoos Coyotes goaltender Hunter Arntsen (pictured above).
Arntsen is the only reason the Coyotes were able to stay within striking distance as long as they did on Saturday night at the Sun Bowl in being blanked 3-0 by the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
The Dinsmore, Saskatchewan native stopped 56 of 58 shots, allowing just two goals. Revelstoke’s third marker found its way into an empty net in the final minute with Arntsen on the bench in favour of an extra attacker.
Over his past three starts, Arntsen has a record of 1-1-1-0, 2.02 goals-against average and 95.68 save percentage.
Osoyoos was shutout for the first time this season, managing just 14 shots on goal the entire night, obviously quite dominated by the stronger Grizzlies.
The Coyotes have an important divisional game next Friday night (Nov. 3rd) in Summerland, before hosting the Kamloops Storm on Saturday night (Nov. 4th) at 7:00. Saturday’s Game Sponsor is Desert Hills Estate Winery.
