Arntsen Shines in Defeat to Nelson!

Without the stellar netminding of Hunter Arntsen, the Osoyoos Coyotes wouldn’t have even salvaged a single point on Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.  The end result was a 3-2 overtime loss to the Nelson Leafs, the game lasting that long solely because of Arnsten, who stopped 54 of the 57 shots he faced, including many from point blank range.

Despite being outplayed through 60 minutes, the Coyotes managed to hold advantages of 1-0 and 2-1.

Scott Dyck, with his team-leading 7th goal and Caden Cygan, on the powerplay, scored for Osoyoos.

Unfortunately for Arnsten, the Leafs put their third past him 2:18 into three-on-three sudden death.

The Coyotes conclude a five-game homestand next weekend, hosting the 100 Mile House Wranglers on Friday night (Game Sponsor: McDonald’s) and Revelstoke Grizzlies Saturday night (Game Sponsor: FortisBC).  Face-off time for both is 7:00 o’clock.
