Osoyoos fans had to be thinking Oh-Boy-yar-ski after witnessing Coletyn Boyarski’s four goal performance on Wednesday night at the Sun Bowl Arena, an offensive outburst that helped the Coyotes take down North Okanagan 7-2.
The Coyotes came ready to play in this one, leading 2-0 by the time the game was less than two minutes old.
After trailing 3-0, the Knights got to within one at 3-2 early in the second period. However, the Boyarski show took over from there.
Jack Henderson, Carter Yarish and Hunter Harwood also scored for Osoyoos. Ethan McKinley added a pair of assists.
Kenny Gerow picked up the win in goal, stopping 30 of 32 shots. The Coyotes outshot North Okanagan 44-32 overall.
The victory pulls (5-2-1-0) Osoyoos into a second place tie with Summerland in the Bill Ohlhausen Division, which sets up a much anticipated home ice showdown against the Steam on Sunday night (October 23rd) at 6:05.
