Chiefs Return the Favour 24 Hours Later by Winning in Osoyoos!

Following a 4-1 home ice setback on Friday night, the Kelowna Chiefs gained a measure of revenge by doubling the host Coyotes, 4-2 Saturday night.

The Chiefs led 1-0 after the first period and 4-0 entering the third.

Ethan McKinley’s two goals in the final 20 minutes for Osoyoos made the result seem a bit more respectable.

Rhett Harkot and Tayton Stewart shared the loss in net, each beaten twice.

Despite the defeat, the Coyotes actually outshot Kelowna 42-31.

The Osoyoos Coyotes complete pre-season play with a record of 3-1-0-0 and now prepare to open the regular season on Saturday, September 24th in Beaver Valley.  Unfortunately, they’ll have to do so without the services of their entire top line of Jack Henderson, Zach Park and Carter Yarish, who received three, two and two game suspensions respectively for their part in Friday night’s line brawl in Rutland.
