Hunter Harwood scored just 1:25 into the game to give Osoyoos a 1-0 advantage, however Kimberley potted the next five unanswered to cruise to a 5-1 victory, Friday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
The result may have been even more lopsided if not for the exceptional goaltending of Kenny Gerow, who despite allowing five goals, kept the Coyotes in the game well into the third period. The Dynamiters outshot Osoyoos 46-31.
It was a struggle for the Coyotes pretty much throughout, often hemmed inside their own zone, going 0 for 7 on the powerplay, as well as surrendering a shorthanded marker.
Perhaps Saturday’s (October 29th) trip to Kamloops will garner a better result for the now 6-3-1-0 Osoyoos Coyotes, who have fallen four points back of the Bill Ohlhausen Division leading Princeton Posse.
