Coyotes’ Bester joins ACHA Div 1 Eagles

 

Ryan Bester of the Osoyoos Coyotes has signed to play for the Eastern Michigan University Eagles in the ACHA Division 1 for the 2022-23 season.

The Beaumont, Alberta product spent three seasons in the KIJHL with the Coyotes. In 84 career regular season games, Bester put up 19 goals and 36 points, including 11 goals, and 23 points in 40 games in 2021-22.  In 15 Teck Cup playoff games, he had six points.

“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity the Eastern Michigan Eagles have offered me,” said Bester, “it’s always been a dream of mine to be able to go to university and play hockey. I’d like to give a big thanks to everyone that’s helped me grow and improve my hockey skills over the last couple years. Let’s go Eagles.”

Coyotes Head Coach Carter Rigby is excited and happy for Bester getting the opportunity to play university hockey.

“As a program,  and as the head coach, it is our goal to move our graduating players onto post secondary schools,” said Rigby. “Ryan has worked hard these last few years and we’re excited to see what he can do at the next level.”
