The Coyotes scored the game’s first two goals, before allowing six unanswered in a 6-2 loss to the Sicamous Eagles, Wednesday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
Austin Cooper and Spencer Fleck on the powerplay gave Osoyoos a 2-0 lead after one.
However, the Coyotes took their foot off the gas with little to offer in the second and third as the Eagles tallied three times in each of the next two periods to win going away.
Osoyoos just couldn’t match the intensity of Sicamous over the final 40 minutes, capitalizing only once on nine man advantage opportunities. The Eagles actually more than doubled the Coyotes in penalty minutes, with things getting quite chippy late in the contest.
Brendan Gee suffered the loss in net.
