Princeton Crushes Injury-Riddled Coyotes!

Any hope the Osoyoos Coyotes had of catching the Bill Ohlhausen Division leading Posse, pretty much faded as a result of Tuesday night’s 7-2 loss in Princeton.

Osoyoos kept things close for a while, trailing just 2-1 after the first period and 3-2 early in the second.  However, a steady stream of penalties led to four powerplay goals by the Posse and subsequent insurmountable deficit.

Joe Davidson and Payton McDonald-Corea scored for the Coyotes, who were outshot 57-42 in the sometimes chippy and often free-wheeling affair.  Jack Henderson had two assists, before leaving the game in the second period after taking a puck to the leg.

Zach Park returned following injury, but Henderson joins the walking wounded that includes Jarrod Gale, Carter Yarish, Zach Leslie and Jack Pass, all sidelined with respective body issues.

The defeat snapped a four game winning streak and stretch of 10 consecutive victories on the road.

Princeton is now 10 points ahead of second place Osoyoos.  Despite still holding two games in-hand, the Coyotes only have eight regular season games remaining.

This debacle simply needs to be wiped cleaned from the memory in preparation for Friday night’s (January 27th) trip to North Okanagan, likely an opening round playoff preview.
