The Coyotes are on the brink of elimination after being shutout 5-0 by North Okanagan, Monday night at the Sun Bowl Arena. Osoyoos now trails the Bill Ohlhausen Division, Best-of-Seven, Semi-Final Playoff Series 3-0.
The Knights led 1-0 following the first period, adding two more goals in both the second and third.
It’s not as if the Coyotes didn’t have ample opportunities as they outshot North Okanagan 48-43, including 22-13 in the final period. The Knights capitalized on their chances, Osoyoos didn’t. Netminder Hunter Arntsen lost his third straight post-season start.
The powerplay remains a sore spot for the Coyotes as well — seven more chances with the man advantage and nothing to show. There’s no more room for error. Osoyoos faces a must-win situation at home in Game Four on Tuesday night (Feb. 27th). Everything gets underway at 8:00 o’clock.
