Konecsni’s Hat Trick Helps Lead the Yotes Over 100 Mile House!

Rylan Konecsni scored three times, with Garrett Kurtz, James Poole and Scott Dyck adding singles as the Osoyoos Coyotes topped the 100 Mile House Wranglers 6-4, Friday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.

The Coyotes held 3-0 and 5-2 second period leads, only to see the Wranglers battle back to within one at 5-4 after 40 minutes.

Dyck’s third period breakaway goal provided some much-needed insurance.  Jordan Gale contributed a pair of assists.

Hayden Lee earned the win in his KJJHL debut, stopping 41 of the 45 shots he faced.  100 Mile House outshot Osoyoos 45-35.

The victory actually vaults the (3-5-2-0) Coyotes from fifth to second place in the Bill Ohlhausen Division.  Three teams, Kelowna, North Okanagan and Osoyoos are all deadlocked at eight points apiece, however the runner up spot to only the Princeton Posse officially belongs to the Coyotes for the time being as a result of having played fewer games than the other two.

The second of back-to-back home games goes Saturday night (October 28th) at 7:00 against the Revelstoke Grizzlies.  Game Sponsor is FortisBC.
