The Osoyoos Coyotes scored a powerplay goal 2:15 into overtime for an entertaining 4-3 win over the Nelson Leafs, Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
Spencer Fleck converted a deceptive behind the net pass from Mason Rudolph to ignite the celebration.
The red hot Ethan Torres (pictured above) tallied twice, with Chase Kunn notching his first junior hockey marker. Torres has four goals in his last two games and eight points in his past four outings. Rudolph’s two assists included setting up Fleck in the extra period.
Osoyoos was good on three of five man advantage opportunities in snapping a three game losing streak.
Jaiden Jakubowski earned the netminding victory. Shots were 45-34 in favour of the Coyotes.
Next weekend, the Osoyoos Coyotes visit the Kamloops Storm on Friday night (Nov. 7th), before hosting the Castlegar Rebels, Saturday night (Nov. 8th) at 7:00.
