Third Period Comeback Keeps the Coyotes Perfect at Home!

The Coyotes overcame a 4-2 third period deficit to defeat the Summerland Steam 5-4, Wednesday night in Osoyoos.

Kaleb Kremp scored twice for the Coyotes, with Jack Henderson, Ethan Floris and Crae Dawson adding singles.  Dawson’s game winner came with just 4:32 left in regulation time.

Osoyoos doubled Summerland in shots, 52-26, including 22-6 in the third.

Kenneth Marquart picked up the victory in net despite facing just two shots over 15:45 of activity.  He relieved starter Kenny Gerow, who was pulled after the Steam’s fourth marker, a shorthand goal, which gave the visitors a 4-2 lead, 4:15 into the final period,

The (22-2-2-3) Coyotes are now 15 points ahead of second place Kelowna atop the Bill Ohlhausen Division.  Nothing short of a total collapse over the final 13 games of the regular season should see Osoyoos finish in first place.

The Coyotes travel to North Okanagan to play the Knights on Saturday night.
