The 100 Mile House Wranglers left a large, partisan crowd disappointed on Saturday night, thanks to a 5-1 triumph over the Coyotes in their regular season home opener.
Things got off to a positive start for Osoyoos, with Mason Rudolph scoring his first of the year on the powerplay just over nine minutes into the game.
However, that’s all the offence the Coyotes could muster. 100 Mile House responded with five answered goals, leading 3-1 after 20 minutes and 4-1 following two periods.
Osoyoos actually held a 35-33 shot advantage, including 12-6 in the third, but it was the Wranglers who made the most of their opportunities. Hunter Arntsen suffered the loss in net.
The Osoyoos Coyotes are now 2-3 on the early season as they prepare to host the Bill Ohlhausen Division leading Princeton Posse, next Friday night (Oct. 11th) at 7:00, featuring Game Sponsor, the Watermark Beach Resort. The evening will also include a special 50th Anniversary celebration of the Osoyoos Sun Bowl Arena.
