The Coyotes opened their Bill Ohlhausen Division, Best-of-Seven, Semi-Final Playoff Series with a 5-1 victory over Princeton, Tuesday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
Kaleb Kremp tallied twice. Alex Ochitwa (1G/1A) on a penalty shot, Nathan Hannon (1G/1A) and Jack Henderson, both on the powerplay, rounded out the scoring for Osoyoos. Ethan McKinley and Ryan Bester each had a pair of assists.
Kenny Gerow turned aside 28 of the 29 Posse shots he faced to record the win. Final shot totals were 33-29 in favour of the Coyotes.
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first, before the Coyotes broke things open with three answered second period goals to go up 4-1, adding one more in the third.
Game Two is set for Wednesday night (Feb. 23rd) at 7:35, again in Osoyoos.
