After losing seven straight, the Osoyoos Coyotes have now won three-in-a-row.
Hunter Arntsen stopped all 36 shots in backstopping the Coyotes to a 3-0 shutout of Kelowna, Friday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
Osoyoos scored a goal in each period, with Nelson Webster, Caden Cygan and Logan Messer, on the powerplay, providing the offence.
The Coyotes outshot the Chiefs 42-36, with their sudden hot streak allowing them to quickly move up the ladder in the Bill Ohlhausen Division. Osoyoos has gone from last to third place as a result of the recent success.
It was a memorable milestone for Osoyoos Coyotes Captain, Defenceman Levi Brewer, who played his 100th KIJHL regular season game on Friday night. Brewer’s entire junior hockey career has been as a member of the Coyotes.
Kelowna hosts the second half of the weekend home-and-home, Sunday night.
