Coyotes Beat Summerland Twice in Four Days!

Osoyoos completed a home-and-home sweep of the Steam with a 3-1 win, Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.  This on the heels of a 6-2 road victory in Summerland, this past Tuesday night.

Coletyn Boyarski, Zach Leslie and Carter Yarish scored for the Coyotes.  Jack Henderson had a pair of assists.

The offence was distributed evenly as Osoyoos tallied a goal in each period.

Kenny Gerow lost his shutout bid with just 4:16 remaining, albeit earning a successful decision in net.  Shots were a lopsided 55-28 in favour of the Coyotes.

The game featured the annual “Christmas Toy Toss.”  Boyarski’s marker came only 2:40 in, resulting in an early shower of stuffed animals.

The Coyotes carry a three game winning streak into next week’s three road outings — Tuesday night in North Okanagan, Friday night at Castlegar and Saturday in Nelson, taking them into the holiday break.  Osoyoos doesn’t play another home game until Friday, December 30th versus Princeton.
