Four first period goals in a span of just over six minutes were all the Osoyoos Coyotes needed to power past the Grand Forks Border Bruins 5-0, Saturday at the Sun Bowl Arena.
Crae Dawson, Kole Giesbrecht, Kieran Christianson and Kaleb Stetcher took care of the early scoring, while Jarrod Gale added a third period marker. Hunter Harwood and Tyler Badger each had a pair of assists.
Kenny Gerow and Rhett Harkot split the goaltending duties, turning aside a combined 31 Grand Forks shots. Osoyoos managed 53 on the Border Bruins net.
The Coyotes finish pre-season play with a home-and-home against Kelowna next weekend, Friday night at Rutland and Saturday night back in Osoyoos.
