Coyotes Dig a Hole with Game Three Loss!

For only the second time all season, Osoyoos has dropped back-to-back games.  Obviously, it’s a little more crucial this time of the year.  The Steam edged the Coyotes 4-3 on Monday night in Summerland to take a 2-1 advantage in the Bill Ohlhausen Division, Best-of-Seven Final.

Similar to its three previous playoff games, Osoyoos was having to play catch up as the Steam led 3-1 early in the second period.  However, a pair of Ethan McKInley goals drew the Coyotes even at 3-3.

Returning from suspension, Parker Konneke made a huge impact, completing his hat trick before the period was out to put Summerland back in front 4-3 headed for the third.

Osoyoos pressed hard in the final 20 minutes, but just couldn’t get the equalizer.  The Coyotes outshot the Steam 35-31.

Kaleb Kremp had the other Osoyoos goal.  Jack Henderson chipped in with two assists.

It’s fair to say the Coyotes controlled the majority of the play, but Summerland has been the more opportunistic of the two all series when it comes to capitalizing on scoring chances.

Game Four in the series goes Tuesday night (Mar. 8th), again in Summerland.
