On the heels of Friday night’s 8-2 defeat in Merritt, the Osoyoos Coyotes were blanked 5-0 by the Revelstoke Grizzlies on Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.
It’s not as if the Coyotes didn’t have their fair share of scoring chances. They just couldn’t beat Revelstoke goaltender William Stewart, who stopped all 36 shots he faced to earn the shutout.
Matthew Sowinski took the loss in the Osoyoos net, allowing five goals on 39 shots.
The Grizzlies led 1-0 after the first, before tallying twice more in both the second and third periods.
It’s back to the drawing board for the Coyotes in preparation of Friday night’s (Nov. 21st) trip to Sicamous. Saturday night (Nov. 22nd) sees a visit from the Chase Heat, getting underway at 7:00, featuring Game Sponsor the Cascadia Credit Union.
