Coyotes Remain Perfect at Home by Winning Overtime Thriller!

Tegan Neuman haunted his former team in the most dramatic way possible, scoring at 2:51 of overtime to lift the Coyotes past Kelowna 3-2, Wednesday night in Osoyoos.

It marked the second time in 24 hours that Neuman tallied against the club with whom he began the season.  It also allowed the Coyotes to take both ends of a two day home-and-home versus the Chiefs.

Jack Henderson and Ethan Floris also scored for Osoyoos, which won its fifth straight, improving to 13-0-0-0 at the Sun Bowl.

Despite more than doubling Kelowna in shots at 49-24, the Coyotes needed Floris’s third period powerplay goal to tie the game 2-2.

Kenny Gerow was again solid in net, making a pair of stellar saves in overtime moments before Neuman’s heroics.

The victory moves league-leading Osoyoos 14 points ahead of the Chiefs atop the Bill Ohlhausen Division at 21-2-1-3, good for 46 points.

The Coyotes have a busy start to the New Year, hosting North Okanagan on Saturday, January 1st at 3:05 pm, before venturing to Princeton the following day, Sunday, January 2nd for a 2:00 o’clock matinee.
