Coyotes Score Late to Beat the Rockies!

What was arguably the most entertaining home game of the season saw the Osoyoos Coyotes double the Columbia Valley Rockies 4-2, Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.

Things didn’t look too promising early as the Coyotes trailed 2-0 after the opening period.

However, goals from Jack Henderson and Jack Pass early in the second, the latter on the powerplay, drew Osoyoos even at 2-2 following 40 minutes.

The freewheeling, yet at times tight checking affair went back and forth in the third period, before Coletyn Boyarksi (pictured above) broke the deadlock with just 5:54 remaining, that turned out to be the game winner.  An Ethan McKinley empty net marker added some insurance.

Hunter Harwood had three assists.

Rhett Harkot picked up the victory in goal, delivering another stellar performance during which the Rockies outshot the Coyotes 35-28.

Friday night (January 20th), Osoyoos visits Kelowna, prior to travelling to Summerland on Saturday night (January 21st).
