Coyotes Set Franchise Record during Manhandling of the Chiefs!

It was anyone’s game through two periods, with Osoyoos leading Kelowna by a slim 3-2 margin.

However, the third period featured a combination of a Coyotes onslaught and Chiefs debacle, leading to nine unanswered goals and a 12-2 Osoyoos blow out win on Saturday night at the Sun Bowl Arena.  Never before in the course of their 13-year history have the Coyotes recorded nine goals in one period.

Coletyn Boyarksi and Jack Henderson each tallied a hat trick.  Zach Park had a pair of goals, while Hunter Harwood, Kole Giesbrecht, Emmitt Marchesi and Zach Leslie added singles.  The latter two being the first junior hockey markers for both Marchesi and Leslie.

Carter Yarish contributed four assists and Ethan Floris three helpers.  Henderson put together a four point game, with Hunter Harwood and Zach Leslie notching two assists apiece to go along with their respective goals.

Netminder Kenny Gerow earned the victory, turning aside 27 of 29 shots.  Osoyoos fired 54 at the shell-shocked Kelowna goaltending tandem.

In stretching their winning streak to four, the (4-1-1-0) the Osoyoos Coyotes took over first place in the Bill Ohlhasuen Division.
