Coyotes Turn Slow Start into Decisive Win!

The Steam jumped into a 2-0 lead by the 5:36 mark of the opening period, before watching Osoyoos score six unanswered for a 6-2 victory, Tuesday night in Summerland.

Zach Park, with back-to-back powerplay tallies, Coletyn Boyarski, Charlie Lockhart, Sean Quinn and Jarrod Gale provided the offensive comeback.  Jack Henderson had three assists, while Hunter Harwood added a pair of helpers.

Despite outshooting the Steam 18-8 in the first period, the Coyotes trailed 2-1.  However, a three goal second and two more in the third, put the game out of reach.

Overall shots were 41-27 in favour of Osoyoos.  Kenny Gerow picked up the netminding win.

The (12-7-3-0) Coyotes are now in sole possession of second place in the Bill Ohlhausen Division, two points ahead of both North Okanagan and Summerland.

Osoyoos visits Chase on Friday night (Dec. 9th), returning home Saturday night (Dec. 10th) to face the Steam for the second time in four days, getting underway at 7:35 at the Sun Bowl Arena.  Remember to bring a new or ‘gently used’ stuffy to the game, the final one at home prior to the Christmas break, for the annual “Christmas Toy Toss.”
