Grizzlies Too Much for the Coyotes!

The Osoyoos Coyotes certainly didn’t make it easy for Revelstoke on Saturday night at the Sun Bowl, but the league-leading Grizzlies managed to come out on top by a score of 4-2.

Revelstoke led 2-0 after the first as a result of a pair of late period markers.

The second period was definitely the strong suit for the Coyotes.  They outshot the visitors 17-9 and were able to tie the game 2-2, thanks to Ethan McKinley on the powerplay and Carter Yarish.  However, a goal just over a-minute after Yarish’s equalizer put the Grizzlies back in front 3-2 following 40 minutes.  Revelstoke added one more during a somewhat scrambly third period.

Shots favoured the Grizzlies by a slim 34-33 margin, with Rhett Harkot suffering the less in net.

Saturday’s results leave Osoyoos, North Okanagan and Summerland all tied for second place in the Bill Ohlhausen Division at 25 points apiece.  The Coyotes still hold two games in-hand on the Knights and have played three fewer games than the Steam.

That is sure to be broken when Osoyoos visits Summerland, Tuesday night (Dec. 6th).
