The Posse scored with just 5:12 remaining in regulation time and held on to beat the Coyotes 5-4, Wednesday night in Osoyoos.
This after the Coyotes tied the game 4-4 only two minutes previous on a hat trick goal by Carter Yarish.
Osoyoos actually led 2-0 following 20 minutes, thanks to a pair by Yarish, the first a shorthanded marker.
Princeton tied the game 2-2 by scoring twice in 59-seconds early in the second period.
Coletyn Boyarski put the Coyotes back in front 3-2 on the powerplay, but the Posse again drew even by connecting on a penalty shot while shorthanded.
Despite outshooting Princeton 17-11 in the third and swarming the net in the final minute with goaltender Rhett Harkot on the bench in favour of an extra attacker, Osoyoos couldn’t get the equalizer.
Jack Henderson had three assists. Charlie Lockhart added two helpers. The Coyotes outshot the Posse 44-40 overall.
The feisty affair resulted in a combined 135 minutes in penalties, with suspensions on both sides likely.
Osoyoos falls nine points back of first place Princeton in the Bill Ohlhausen Division, while still holding a pair of games in-hand.
