The Home Venue Doesn’t Seem to Matter!

The Coyotes played their annual game at the Oliver Arena against North Okanagan on Sunday afternoon and despite the unfamiliarity of a much smaller ice surface, managed to hold off the Knights 6-4.

Zachary Park with a pair, Josh Bourchier, Ethan Floris, Kaleb Kremp and Tegan Neuman scored the Osoyoos goals.  Jack Henderson, Crae Dawson and Johnny Jenkinson added two assists apiece.

The back breaker for North Okanagan was allowing two third period goals just 11-seconds apart after getting the deficit to within one at 4-3.

The result did flatter the Knights however, who were outshot 52-19 by the Coyotes.  Osoyoos held period leads 1-0 and 4-2.

In improving to 25-2-2-3 for 55 points, the league leading Coyotes have opened up a 21 point cushion over second place Kelowna atop the Bill Ohlhausen Division.

There’s only one game for the Yotes this week, a Friday night trip to Summerland.
