Daily development
We want to move players on to the WHL and college hockey, and the week is built for that. Two sessions a day at our own rink (10:45 to 11:30, flood, then 11:45 to 1:00). Fridays have a pre-game skate at 10:00 AM.
- Goalies: Head Goaltending Coach Jesse Jenks played NCAA Division 1 at Alaska Fairbanks.
- Strength: Dylan Hood leads athletic training. Our gym inside the Sun Bowl is dialed in and fully outfitted by Hood Athletic Edge.
- Testing: Osoyoos Physiotherapy runs VALD force testing and preseason concussion baseline testing.
- Care: Two athletic trainers on staff, plus local physio and chiro support.
- Mental performance program: coming soon.
- Video review: coming soon.
The Sun Bowl and the bus
The Sun Bowl is a tight, loud building with the stands right on top of the glass. The jerseys of Osoyoos-born NHLers Chuck Kobasew, Neil Eisenhut and Mitch Fritz hang here. On the road, H&H Platinum Tours drives us to every away game on our own bus.
Life off the ice
Billets. Players live with local families who are supported by our billet coordinator all season.
School. Education Advisor Nicole Quintal (Osoyoos Secondary) builds a Player Education Profile with every player and helps with transcripts, credits and course planning. Graduating players are eligible for the $1,000 Adrenalin graduating scholarship.
Community. Trivia night at The Sage Pub, helping with the Osoyoos and Oliver school hockey academy programs, guest coaching with SOMHA, yard work for local seniors, and nights like Feed the Valley.
Player perks. Half off at Smitty’s, plus player discounts at Queen of the South Charcuterie, Junction 3 Coffee House, Vengeance Fitness, Needs Gym, Barn Owl Eatery and Fügassa Italian Eatery.
